Courses designed for technicians, riggers & crew who need to get it right!

At the Motion Labs Training Center, you're not sitting through theory you'll forget. You're working through real scenarios, real systems, and the kind of problems that may actually happen on the job. Every course is built to give technicians, riggers, and crews the confidence to make the right call when it matters, not after the fact.

Train on equipment. Work through real scenarios. Build the skills you'll rely on when there's no time to guess.

Train like the job depends on it. Because it does.

What They're
Saying...

The class really helped me understand the full picture of how chain hoists operate through motor control equipment and how to operate them safely. The class had talented instructors with an answer to every question, and the explanations were thorough and clear. The hands-on repair was most interesting part of the class. Instructors combined practical experience repairing the equipment with insight on wiring and connector standards, electrical code and helpful troubleshooting tips. I can now much more confidently repair our equipment or troubleshoot an issue with a hoist. The location of the training center is convenient and easy to get to for those out of state. I would recommend the course to anyone in the field who regularly works with chain hoists.

Since my experience while working has been in low voltage Direct Current (DC), there were some gaps in knowledge regarding where Alternating Current (AC) & DC get converted. This class clarified those gray areas. The class helped me improve my troubleshooting process through the analysis of the different circuits that make up the power distros and motor controls. It helped immensely to understand schematics and electron flow when you have the actual device open in front of you and can trace the paths. It is always beneficial to take a manufacturers’ class over trying to reverse engineering something. Now I will be faster and more efficient using the new methods gained in class.

Motion Labs repair classes have helped me gain a better understanding of the electrical path within hoist control and power distribution devices. The best part was networking and troubleshooting with others in the class while having access to experienced instructor with had a better understanding of board level electronics than I do. I would recommend this class to equipment owners/technicians to get an opportunity for in person experience and to ask questions of the instructor and/or others in the class who work on the same equipment regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send my crew to this training?

Yeah and you probably should. One weak tech can slow down a whole load in or cause problems you're fixing all night.

Is this worth it if I've been doing this for years?

If you've ever had to second guess a call or troubleshoot something on the fly, you'll get something out of this.

Will this actually help on show day?

That's the point. You're working on real setups so when something goes wrong, it's not the first time you're seeing it.

Why do companies invest in this?

Because mistakes cost time, money, and sometimes safety. Better trained crews make fewer of them.
