TALOS is the front-end control platform for Motion Labs automation systems, including variable speed controllers, Soft Limit systems, and safety controllers. It allows operators to run fixed-speed and variable-speed hoist systems from a single interface, simplifying complex stage automation.

By bringing multiple hoist controllers together under one platform, TALOS enables coordinated cues and sequences across different systems in a single move. From one workstation, operators can configure controllers, monitor system status, and execute motion commands across the entire network. The result is faster setup, streamlined operation, and reliable show execution.

TALOS is designed to be powerful without being complicated. Its graphical interface and drag-and-drop tools make system setup, configuration, and show programming intuitive.

Operators can quickly create motion groups, cues, and sequences visually, reducing training time and allowing teams to focus on production rather than programming.

The TALOS control station uses a dual-monitor layout designed around real-world show operation.

One screen is dedicated to system configuration and preparation, while the second is reserved for live show execution. Keeping programming tools separate from live control helps operators stay organized and focused during a performance.

TALOS organizes motion control into simple building blocks. Players (hoists) can be combined into groups for synchronized movement. Cues define positions and speeds for multiple players moving together, while sequences organize player moves, group moves, and cues into ordered steps. This structure makes it easy to create sophisticated motion while maintaining a clear and efficient workflow.

TALOS also accelerates system setup by automatically discovering connected hoists and PLC communications, reducing the manual configuration normally required.

For offline preparation, systems can be built using drag-and-drop smart icons that contain the necessary configuration data. Entire shows can be created, modified, and prepared in advance, making deployment faster and more efficient—even for large productions.

Safety is integrated directly into the TALOS platform. Features such as SafeZone allow operators to create virtual safety boundaries between moving systems.

If devices move too close together, TALOS automatically stops motion and alerts the operator, helping protect performers, crew, and equipment during operation.

TALOS combines powerful functionality with intuitive operation. The graphical interface, automated discovery tools, and visual programming workflow create a system that is easy to learn and efficient to use.
